Print Sale // Adventure Field Guide Fundraiser
Hey all!
As some of you may know, I am going to be attending a residency on Rabbit Island off the coast of Michigan’s upper peninsula on Lake Superior. My cousin and conservation biologist Eva Dwyer will be my collaborator as we research and create a map and field guide for the island. We will be spending two weeks in late July and early August identifying and classifying plants, fish, and birds then spending the following few months creating the content for the Rabbit Island Field Guide.
There are so many exciting things happening on the island including a lot of culinary explorations, foraging expeditions, filmmaking, composing, and of course endless drawing and conservation work. My hope is to document it all through writings and illustrations. My intention is to document as much of the visitors conservation and exploration endeavors as possible—and thats where you come in.
In order for this all to be possible, we need the funds to dream big and make the most of our time there. This includes obtaining the proper gear to complete our conservation efforts, publishing our findings and creations, and distributing them to further encourage conservation efforts on the island and inspire them elsewhere.
The print you see above Heron and Trout, two species native to the island, will be for sale to raise money for this project. Prints are 16in x 20in and $15. Donations are also welcome. We’re incredibly grateful for any help to complete this exciting project.
